SSAB and residual heat

Residual heat from steel producer SSAB is used to heat houses in Borlänge, Sweden, according to a degree project by Anna Björnsdotter at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, as reported by Sveriges Radio (SR) (in Swedish only). Although SSAB is a company that produces considerable amounts of carbon dioxide, they could be regarded as a carbon dioxide neutral corporation thanks to their handling of residual heat, says Björnsdotter in the article.
