What makes good science writing

An Observer article by Ian Tucker on what makes good science writing. The backdrop for the article is some of the world’s most famous science writers gathered in London for the Royal Society’s Winton prize for science books 2012.

If I were to name the science writer par excellence (and of the century too) it would probably have to be Cordelia Fine, for her book Delusions of Gender. Well OK, so her book was published two years ago, but even so…
