On verbal antagonism and psychological insight

Journalist Suzanne Moore wrote on the Power of Female Anger, which attracted rage from the transsexual community (and others). Julie Burchill then defended her friend in the Guardian which in turn attracted anger from readers.

Greenslade argues in his blog that Burchill’s piece should have stayed online but been edited to as to get her central argument across. And in his ”Brain Flapping” blog, Dean Burnett describes some of the psychological theories and hypotheses that could explain some of the things that happened.

Both Greenslade’s and Dean Burnett’s blog posts are interesting as they approach the thorny issue from a more philosophical standpoint which could make for a more enlightening debate, all around.
